Today I would like to tell you of a day when I got stuck at an airport in Moscow. I believe this was in December 2010 and I just came back from South Africa and the plane has just landed in Moscow. However, we sat for 3 hours in the plane in Moscow as there was a major power cut at the airport as the power cables got frozen. I didn't have cash on me, was planning to pull money at the airport for transport to the train station as I was going to St Petersburg that night. After I got off the airplane I was told that my luggage didn't arrive yet, but I got it back about a week later. There were generators running so I did not release that there is no power, I only released that when I was looking for an ATM and none of them were working. Eventually, I found one, but somehow I lost my card. So there I was stranded without luggage, a bank card, but just a phone and hand luggage. By God's grace, I was able to contact a friend who came to fetch me hours later, and I was able to transfer money to his account so I was able to get a new train ticket as I missed my train, and was able to go to St Petersburg. I was able to get a new bank card and no money was stolen so everything ended well at the end!
